Yamaha has launched the all new YZF-R7 as a 2022 model year motorcycle

We had covered the teaser shared by Yamaha Europe on YouTube which hinted strongly at the existence of a modern tarmac-scorching YZF-R7. The video is titled, “Track. Street. R/World.” and captioned, “R/World is coming your way with something new. Soon. #RWorld”.

The video montage consisted of a rider POV video of an unspecified motorcycle unleashed by the rider on a racetrack with a sweet symphony in the background score. The ending of the video replaces the music score for a smooth-revving parallel twin cacophony which is very reminiscent of the MT-07.

The motorcycle is poised to be a great track tool and street weapon. The motorcycle is available in two colors – Team Yamaha Blue and Performance Black.

A new generation supersport with Yamaha’s legendary styling combines an advanced CP2 engine with an ultra‑thin and lightweight chassis to provide torquey performance on both the track and the street.

Motorad Gears take –

The YZF-R7 makes for a compelling motorcycle – offering the tried and tested 689 cc parallel-twin from the MT-07 in a supersports package.

Will it come to India?
It can be quite a while before we get the YZF=R7 here in our midst. We do not have the MT-07 retailed here; the YZF-R7 is based on that very model.
